Nottingham Forest Women have signed Hollie Barker from Sheffield United with the 28 year old stating “I am so excited to get started with a club that has so much ambition and drive”.
Defender Barker has spent 2 years at United winning promotion to the FA Women’s Championship and holding down a regular spot in the Blades back four.
The former Huddersfield and Rotherham star said “I am delighted to have signed for Nottingham Forest. I knew from the minute I met the management staff and say the facilities that this was the perfect move for me”.
The signing for the Reds will be a welcome addition after the side went the whole of October unbeaten with four successive wins including a 13-0 victory at Newark Town in the Nottinghamshire County Cup.
On Sunday the team beat Hull City 5-2 in the FA Womens National League North and the reds currently lie in fourth place just four points behind league leaders Sunderland.
Forest next face second place Burnley a week on Sunday (10th November) at the Arbories Memorial Sports Ground in Padiham, Lancashire with Brown hopeful of making her Forest debut.
