Jack Stapley is the first new player to sign this summer for Nottingham Rugby as the Jersey Red leaves the Channel Islands for a new start in the famous Green and White.
The winger played nine times last season for a strong Jersey team scoring two tries along the way and he joins Nottingham having moved back to the area whilst studying at Loughborough University.
The Dubai born youngster had previously played for Loughborough Students before joining Jersey and has played for Leicester Tigers in the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens as well as representing the England Rugby Union Students squad.
Joining the new signing of Stapley and adding pace and strength on the wing for another year will be David Williams after a fine season scoring 11 in 15 appearances. Williams who has 31 tries in 57 Nottingham appearances in total has committed to the club for another year joining seven previously announced players in doing the same.
Head Coach Neil Fowkes on confirming the two wide men ahead of the new season said: “We’re thrilled to be able to secure two young talented wingers for the coming season. David Williams re-signs after a successful season last year, and Jack Stapley comes in after impressing at Jersey.”
