Former Ealing Trailfinder and Rotherham flanker Willie Ryan is the latest to have joined a whole host of new signings to put pen to paper at Nottingham Rugby for next season.
The 6ft4in, 17stone Irish forward was most recently at Chinnor Rugby Club in Oxfordshire having started his career as a teenager back home at Cork Constitution and University College Cork (UCC).
Initially moving to Rotherham Titans in 2014 Ryan joined Ealing in 2016 before a season long spell at Doncaster in the 2018/19 campaign.
The 29 year old has played over 50 matches in the English Championship and will give the Nottingham forward line a major boost as Head Coach Neil Fowkes continues to build a squad to compete for the challenges ahead.
Of the signing Fowkes said “We’re delighted to be able to welcome Willie Ryan on-board for next season. He has great experience in the game, and has a promotion under his belt so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in a Green and White jersey.”
“This signing adds to a powerful back row with Green and White regulars George Cox, Josh Poullet and the recent signing of Carl Kirwin.”
