Josh Buggea becomes the latest signing at Nottingham Rugby as the 26-year-old flanker joins the new look Lady Bay revolution from fellow Championship side Bedford Blues.
A former England U18 international, Buggea joined Bedford from Worcester Warriors in 2014 and has since become a popular fixture in the sides back row ever-since.
He joins Nottingham having played 15 times in the Championship last season and will fight for a place with the likes of Carl Kirwan, Willie Ryan, Josh Poullet and George Cox in a strong looking forward line as the club hope to build on an impressive last season cut short in March.
Nottingham Head Coach Neil Fowkes stated “We’re delighted to be able to secure the signature of a player like Josh. He has showed his qualities in the Championship for many years now, and is certainly a welcome addition down at The Bay.”
Buggea joins Jack Ramshaw, Charlie Thakker, Matt Riddington, Jack Stapley, Toby Williams and fellow back rowers Kirwan & Ryan in a busy summer for Nottingham that has seen the club lose Will Simonds, David Williams and Jack Spittle after going part-time.
