Anthony Knockaert has agreed to stay on loan at the City Ground until the end of the season after his initial spell at the Reds ended earlier this week. The Fulham owned winger however had shown desire to stay with Chris Hughton’s men and Forest have cemented his services until the current Championship season’s close although he won’t be available for todays FA Cup clash with Cardiff City.
The French star, aged 29, has made 16 appearances for Forest scoring one goal and has even had a red card after getting sent off late in the loss against Brentford but his ability to make things happen in the final third has been a major factor in Hughton wanting to keep his services longer, especially as the former Leicester and Brighton man was beginning to grow with influence as Forest stretch their unbeaten record to five matches.
One out the door is summer signing Nicholas Ioannou who joins Greek side Aris Thessaloniki on loan until the end of the season.
The Cypriot international was signed by Sabri Lamouchi in September but has struggled to settle in Nottingham, registering only five matches including a red card himself, after getting sent off against Luton Town which was his last Reds appearance to date.
