Blackett Signs For Forest
Tyler Blackett has become the second summer signing of the week for Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds as the former Manchester United Academy star joins following a successful spell at Reading.
The 26 year old can play at full back or centre half and has played at England levels from under 16’s to under 21’s with 11 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils between loan moves to Blackpool, Birmingham and Celtic.
A quick tall defender, Blackett signed for Reading in 2016 making 122 appearances for the club before his contract ran out this summer and as the versatile star joins Forest he’ll offer competition to the likes of Tobias Figueiredo and Joe Worrall in the heart of the Reds defence and also provide reasonable cover for Bruno Ribeiro at left back.
Blackett joins Jack Colback as the Reds second major signing of the summer with Greek under 17 international Alexandros Sarantis also signing from AEK Athens. Marcus McGuane who signed from Barcelona earlier in the year has been loaned out to Oxford United in a season long deal.
