Nottingham based boxer Ekow \u2018The Engine\u2019 Essuman has told his opponent \u201cI\u2019m coming to collect\u201d as he faces Welshman Chris Jenkins for the Commonwealth and BBBofC British Welter Weight titles at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Unbeaten Essuman who has 14 wins from 14 fights is on the undercard of the Joe Joyce verses Carlos Takam bout, live on BT Sports, and the Ghanaian born star takes on Jenkins who has 22 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats, knowing that a win for him will further progress his promising career towards a world title fight.<\/p>\n
32-year-old Essuman has been training hard ahead of the match up and after seeing off Cedrick Peynaud in 10 rounds to take the vacant IBF European Welterweight title last September, he enters the ring for the first time in ten months under Frank Warren\u2019s Queensbery Promotions with a packed house at the SSE Arena guaranteed.<\/p>\n
Swansea born Jenkins, also 32, has not fought since 2019 and drew with Liam Taylor last time out but has notable scalps of Johnny Garton and Paddy Gallagher in the same year although he has been beaten by Akeem Ennis-Brown, Phillip Sutcliffe Jnr and Tyrone Nurse.<\/p>\n
