After reaching the eliminator game last season following a third placed finish in the first ever men\u2019s hundred competition, the Trent Rockets will be back this summer as they open up the competitions second coming, by taking on Birmingham Phoenix at Trent Bridge on Saturday 6th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n

The women who finished seventh in their opening hundred campaign last summer will start the 2022 season at Manchester Originals a week later, on Saturday 13th<\/sup> August, before a trip to Birmingham on Monday 15th<\/sup> and a first home match against Oval Invincibles on Wednesday 17th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s team will play their second game at the Northern Superchargers in Leeds on Tuesday 9th<\/sup> August before doubling up with the women on the 13th<\/sup> where both sides will be in action at Manchester. Both men and women\u2019s sides will also be at Birmingham and for the Trent Bridge encounter against the Oval Invincibles before both sexes of the Rockets host London Spirit on Saturday 20th<\/sup> August again at Trent Bridge.<\/p>\n

On Thursday 25th<\/sup> the two sides then head to Southern Brave and the Ageas Bowl in Southampton before wrapping up against the Welsh Fire in Nottingham on August 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Games will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and the BBC throughout the competition after more than 16 million tuned in to watch The Hundred in 2021.<\/p>\n

Nat Sciver, 2021 Trent Rockets Women\u2019s captain, said: \u201cWe\u2019re so excited for the second year of The Hundred. Last summer was an amazing experience, we had an amazing time on the pitch and we introduced so many new fans to the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving that kind of support meant so much to all of us and you just can\u2019t beat the energy that comes with it. With the Commonwealth Games, England series and the return of The Hundred, it\u2019s going to be a special summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sanjay Patel, Managing Director for The Hundred, said: \u201cThe Hundred helped grow the game last year. With more than 500,000 tickets sold and issued and 16 million watching on TV \u2013 with half of them being new to cricket \u2013 we saw a new audience enjoying the game for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t wait to build on that this year, bringing world class cricket and an incredible family day out to fans across England and Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rosters for The Hundred will be finalised over the coming months.<\/p>\n
