Bestwood Colliery (Division Two North), and South Notts (Foundation Division) added their names to this roll of honour for the 2021-22 season in the Euro Soccer Nottinghamshire Senior League this past weekend, finally wrapping up their respective, league championships.<\/p>\n

Bestwood did so emphatically, with a 10-1 win away to bottom club, Phoenix Inham (second place Shirebrook Soldiers can only finish on 51 points).<\/p>\n

The NSLs top scorer, Jake Fisher, would find himself bagging five of Bestwood\u2019s ten, taking his tally for the season to 47 goals, and with two matches remaining (one league, and a cup final), he\u2019ll be chomping at the bit to hit the half century.<\/p>\n

Alongside Jake\u2019s five-goal salvo, Scott Fisher would score twice (his first two of the season), and Kasey Fisher (eleven goals) another, whilst there was also goals from Carey Knight (two for the season), and Ryan Tinsley (his seventh of the campaign) \u2013 Scott Fisher\u2019s goal was the clubs\u2019 hundredth in all competitions, managed by their father, Jim \u2018Jimbo\u2019 Fisher, the Fisher siblings have accounted for sixty of those goals, in what has been their debut season.<\/p>\n

South Notts meanwhile, they overcame fourth place Stapleford Town Development, 5-3 away, to take their divisional trophy, going into the game knowing that any sort of win would suffice.<\/p>\n

Ruggero Osei grabbed a hat-trick (24 goals this season) as his side claim the title by three from Carlton Town Lions, whilst Christopher O\u2019Grady, and Remel White, also registered, the latter moving onto 28 goals.<\/p>\n

At the top of the Notts Senior League, Keyworth United still lead the Premier Division, although their fixtures are complete, although Southwell City, and Stapleford Town, are level on points following Saturday\u2019s matches, the pair sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the former.<\/p>\n

Sandiacre Town and Woodthorpe Park Rangers make up the top five in the division, they all split by just the four points; Sandiacre cruised to an 8-1 win away to FC Cavs as Alex Beno scored three (moves onto twelve overall), and Adam Gillott two (twenty-five goals) in the win, whilst Woodthorpe lost 3-1 at home to Awsworth Villa, Tristan Comery with a brace.<\/p>\n

The remaining Premier Division game would see seven goals scored at Wollaton, they losing out, 4-3, to visitors Cotgrave, for whom Patrick Ferguson scored twice.<\/p>\n

West Bridgford kept up their charge towards the Division One title, winning 3-0 at home to FC Geordie, Christopher Richards notching all three goals.<\/p>\n

Victory sees them move onto nineteen league games unbeaten (eighteen wins and one draw) whilst Richards\u2019 treble moves him onto thirty goals in his last fifteen outings for the club.<\/p>\n

Both second, and third, picked up big wins as Radcliffe Olympic won 4-0 away to Beeston OBA, and Top Valley registered eight when home to Radford Reserves, Jacob, and Joseph Gunn, scoring three each in an 8-1 success.<\/p>\n

Of the mid-table sides, Beeston would win 3-0 away to Ruddington Village, Gregory Halford with two, and Hucknall Town Reserves won 5-0 at Southwell City Reserves, goals coming from Leon Ofosu (3) and Ricky Clayton (2).<\/p>\n

With the bottom three divisions now having had their title winners confirmed, other matches would see Shirebrook Soldiers win 4-3 at Ravenshead Reds, Ben Charlesworth with a hat-trick, and Cresswell edge hosts Trent Vineyard 2-1, in Division One North; whilst on the South, Rossoneri won 5-0 at Elston, and both Bingham Town Reserves, and Burton Joyce Senior Blue, registered 3-2 wins on the road, at Keyworth Reserves and Pass Move Grin Reserves, respectively.<\/p>\n

Applications for the NSL 2022-23 season are now being taken, clubs are being invited to fill in the form on the NSL website here<\/a>\u00a0and return to secretary, Zoe Murr, via details on form ASAP.<\/p>\n
