Yesterday, Nottingham Forest confirmed their capture of Brazilian midfielder Danilo on a contract until 2029 for a fee worth in the region of \u00a318m.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old samba star was one of the key cogs for Palmeiras who\u2019s title winning season last year ended with a Serie A championship and State championship of Sao Paulo.<\/p>\n
In all, Danilo, who\u2019s full name is Danilo dos Santos de Oliveira, played 56 times in all competitions scoring 7 goals, in total he played 141 times for the Brazilian giants scoring seven times and in his three years at the club he twice won a Copa Libertadores (South America\u2019s equivalent to the European Cup) back-to-back during 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n
Danilo also recently played in the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup winning the bronze ball, finishing third place in the best players nominees for the tournament behind Chelsea\u2019s Thiago Silva and former team-mate Dudu.<\/p>\n
The highly regarded young star will link up with Gustavo Scarpa who may even have had a mention to bring the player to the City Ground, one of Brazil\u2019s best young talents is said to have a big future in the game and Nottingham Forest may reap the rewards of unearthing him to the game in Europe.<\/p>\n
On signing for the club, Danilo told the Nottingham Forest website \u201cI\u2019m really happy to be fulfilling my dream of playing in the Premier League and playing for Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n
