Seamer Rob Lord has signed a new two-year contract at Trent Bridge.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has made a significant impact in his initial stint at Nottinghamshire, having signed a short-term contract prior to the Metro Bank One Day Cup.<\/p>\n
He took 11 wickets at 22.63 in that competition, before claiming four more in County Championship fixtures against Surrey and Essex.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m obviously delighted to extend my time here,\u201d Lord said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a great, supportive group to come into over the last few months, and I have learned a lot about myself through the work I\u2019ve done with the coaches and exposure to first team cricket.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to keep refining my skills as much as possible through training and playing, and focus on being the best all-round player I can be.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m keen to finish this season as well as I can, and then work hard on my game through the winter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lord\u2019s best figures to date in a Notts shirt came against Surrey in the 50-over tournament, where he took five wickets to guide the Outlaws to a 107-run win.<\/p>\n
After claiming Dom Sibley as his maiden First-Class scalp, he then dismissed both Dean Elgar and Tom Westley in his second red-ball appearance at Chelmsford.<\/p>\n
