Nottinghamshire have secured the signature of seamer Conor McKerr from Surrey on a three-year deal.<\/p>\n
The right-arm fast bowler, who took four wickets in four appearances for Notts Outlaws in the 2023 Vitality Blast on a short-term loan, returns to Trent Bridge on a deal until 2027.<\/p>\n
\u201cJoining Notts is an opportunity which really excites me,\u201d Mckerr said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe years I\u2019ve spent at Surrey have put me in a good position but I\u2019ve got to the age where I am probably about to hit my physical peak, and I want to make sure I am making the most of that.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving spent time at Trent Bridge, they are very professional in how they go about their business, and the way me and my family were treated during our time there was a big part of why I enjoyed it so much.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt can only benefit me to work with Kevin Shine, and I feel like I have learned how to win having been in a successful dressing room across the last few years.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old took 11 wickets in four Vitality County Championship appearances in 2024, including a four-fer for Surrey against Lancashire at The Oval in August for the expense of just 27 runs.<\/p>\n
McKerr was also the Brown Caps’ second-highest wicket taker in this year\u2019s edition of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, taking 15 scalps with a rampant 4\/32 against Gloucestershire, his best List A bowling figures to date.<\/p>\n

McKerr, a Surrey player since a teenager, has previously spent loan spells at Derbyshire – for whom he made his First Class debut against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in 2017 – Kent and, most recently, Yorkshire.<\/p>\n
He featured regularly in the County Championship run-in, appearing three times in Surrey\u2019s final five matches as they secured their third title on the spin with a game to spare.<\/p>\n
