Rotherham United moved top of the East Midlands Women\u2019s Regional Football League Premier Division on Sunday afternoon, although they\u2019ve played three more than second place Sheffield, who are a point behind in second place.<\/p>\n

The Millers, who were hosting lowly Nottingham Trent University, eased to a comfortable, 5-0 success at their Roundwood Golf Club home, and stretched their league winning streak to seven matches.<\/p>\n

Twice in the past six weeks have the current leaders faced NTU, and have now hit nine goals without reply, Sunday\u2019s success seeing both Alesha Gale, early in the first, and substitute Bethany Howarth late in the second, notch braces.<\/p>\n

Just four points split the top five sides, and it\u2019s Mansfield Town who are down in fifth place, with that of Sheffield, Stamford, and Chesterfield, sandwiched between.<\/p>\n

Andi Bell\u2019s side, who have both a County Cup and League Plate final to come, were hosting joint-bottom Basford United, taking the points courtesy of first half goals from Grace Shipman and an Amy Pashley penalty, Katie Platts reducing the deficit in the second period as the hosts held on for a battling, 2-1 win.<\/p>\n

Mansfield Town \u2013 Amy Price, Charlotte Tate, Martha Roper, Monica Bowley, Georgina Clements, Millie Edwards, Grace Shipman, Libby Bartlett, Amy Dawson, Olivia Standeven, Shannon Purdy (Andrea Bell, Ava Williamson, Amy Pashley, Gabriella Foulkes, Jessica Waplington)<\/p>\n

Basford United \u2013 Paige Johnson, Kayleigh Downes, Devonn Cousins, Paige Rogers, Megan Wood, Beth Cutts, Maisie Plumb, Laura Porritt, Maja Kocik, Georgia Gladwin, Katie Platts<\/p>\n

Three regional sides were in action across Division One, with West Bridgford Colts losing 2-1 at Asfordby Amateurs in the Central Division, and Arnold Eagles dismissed 6-0 away to Grimsby Town in the North.<\/p>\n

Sherwood meanwhile are sitting fourth in the North and registered a second successive 1-0 win, this time when home to Grimsby Borough, as they chase down third place Dronfield Town.<\/p>\n

In the Notts Girls & Ladies League Seniors One, and with two games abandoned and one postponed, two games were actually completed, both Radcliffe Olympic and Hucknall Town notching four apiece in their respective victories.<\/p>\n

Radcliffe are second, a point behind leaders Newark Town, following their 4-1 home win over Lowdham Colts, whilst Hucknall moved top of a clutch of clubs on seventeen points, in seventh, with a 4-0 win at Basford United U23s.<\/p>\n

In the NGL Seniors Two there was a 2-1 win for Sherwood Colliery away to Eastwood & Kimberley as they moved into third place, whilst bottom club Sherwood Development were<\/p>\n

beaten 7-0 at home off Southwell City, Lois Harris notching a hat-trick and Evie Slater a brace.<\/p>\n
