Young seam bowler Francis Moore has joined Nottinghamshire on a two-year rookie contract from the start of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n
Moore, 18, was educated at Millfield School in Somerset on a sports scholarship, and has previously represented the Green and Golds, as well as Warwickshire,\u00a0at 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0XI level.<\/p>\n
Born in Chichester on Christmas Day, he developed in Hampshire\u2019s pathway, and previously plied his trade in club cricket for Burridge in the Southern\u00a0Premier League.<\/p>\n
He recorded his best club figures of 3\/20 in a thrilling one-run win over Alton in 2024, holding his nerve to take the winning wicket after being charged\u00a0with bowling the final over.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a huge opportunity,\u201d said Moore. \u201cAs a bowler, I\u2019m really excited to work with Kevin Shine, considering all the brilliant things he\u2019s done with\u00a0other seamers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0XI games I played last summer, the lads were really welcoming and easy to get along with, and I got to know them pretty quickly.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving been training at Loughborough this winter, it didn\u2019t feel like I was away from them for that long either, so it was easy to get back in.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo many players have improved since coming to Nottinghamshire, and I think that\u2019s a really big thing that drew me here.\u201d<\/p>\n
