The new season, as always, sees clubs joining, departing, promoted or (occasionally) relegated. This time round the major changes come in Division One.<\/p>\n
The membership of the two Premier Divisions shows little change from last season. In the Camper UK Premier North, champions Kinsley Boys move up to the Northern Counties East with a second vacancy due to Yorkshire Main\u2019s withdrawal last September. Taking their place are Rossington FC and Evo FC who finished first and third respectively in Division One last season.<\/p>\n
There was a similar state of affairs in the Premier South Division, but here there were three spaces available. After just one season Selston regained their place in the United Counties League, the other two places vacated by Mansfield Hosiery Mills and Mickleover under 23s. After a dreadful season which ended in a run of five 9-0 defeats, the Mills finally called it a day in March, while Mickleover just made it to the end of a similarly painful campaign. Their replacements are the winners of the other three second tier divisions, Woodhouse Colts from the east, Ripley Town from the west, and in their debut season Derby Gazers, champions of Division One South.<\/p>\n
The new season\u2019s constitution in the Macron Hub Nottingham Division One is a bit more complicated as the four divisions were reduced to three, ensuring a reasonable amount of matches for everyone. The North and South divisions each have 14 teams while the Central Division has 13. Here are the line-ups.<\/p>\n
With the exception of promoted Rossington and Evo and Crowle Colts (departed) the North Division comprises the remainder of last season\u2019s teams plus two from the East division, Kirton Brickworks and Long Bennington. They are joined by Dunscroft United and development sides from AFC Bentley, Brodsworth and Rossington all from the Doncaster Saturday League, Kinsley Boys Reserves from the Wakefield and District League, G3A, an academy side based in Mansfield and newly formed Frickley Athletic Reserves.<\/p>\n
The Central Division is made up of seven clubs from last season\u2019s West division, Linby Reserves, Teversal Reserves and Willow Wanderers from Division One\u00a0East plus Holbrook Sports Reserves and Punjab United from the South and are joined by Eastwood CIC Reserves.<\/p>\n
The remaining seven South Division teams which include a revived Burton United (Stapenhill Reserves have returned to the Staffordshire Senior League) are joined by Mayfield, Little Eaton, Melbourne Reserves and Wirksworth Reserves from the West Division, Markeaton, promoted from Division Two and Ingles Reserves from the Leicester Senior League and Stockbrook who have switched from Sunday football to form division One South<\/p>\n
Missing from last season\u2019s Division One, apart from Crowle and Stapenhill already mentioned, are Ashland Rovers (joined Notts Senior League), Shirebrook Soldiers ( Not running a Saturday team) and Newark Town Reserves (disbanded)<\/p>\n
Division Two has a new sponsor, RPH Group of Huthwaite, civil engineering, road surfacing and plant hire specialists.<\/p>\n
The division is reduced to ten teams, losing Ashland Rovers Reserves (to Notts Senior League), Winster Darley Lions (returned to the Hope Valley League) and Markeaton (promoted) and gaining Ripley Town Reserves.<\/p>\n
