{"id":4387,"date":"2020-07-01T08:16:07","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T08:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nottinghamsport.com\/?p=4387"},"modified":"2020-07-01T08:16:07","modified_gmt":"2020-07-01T08:16:07","slug":"forest-prepare-for-bristol-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nottinghamsport.com\/index.php\/2020\/07\/01\/forest-prepare-for-bristol-test\/","title":{"rendered":"Forest Prepare For Bristol Test"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nottingham Forest will look to make it back to back home wins as they face Bristol City in the EFL Championship tonight in a 6pm <em>closed-door<\/em> kick off at the City Ground.<\/p>\n<p>The Reds have had an interesting week starting buoyed in spirits by their impressive victory over Huddersfield that took them to fourth in the table the team currently lie in fifth place seven points behind both the automatic places and playoff chases following wins for Fulham and Brentford last night.<\/p>\n<p>Grabbing the headlines has been Albert Adomah\u2019s return from Cardiff with the player himself unhappy that should he be recalled back from his loan today, the <em>EFL ruling<\/em> states that he can\u2019t play again this season. Adomah wanted to stay at Cardiff for an extra month to complete the season and play matches but Forest have recalled him as the Bluebirds now occupy a playoff spot, the Reds not willing to provide any ammunition for those they\u2019re in direct competition with. This also angered Cardiff Manager Neil Harris a former Red, although his annoyance was more with the league\u2019s unwillingness to enforce that the initial loan agreement be made long enough to cover the season until end. It seems that there\u2019s no real argument as Adomah\u2019s agreement with Cradiff ended on the 31<sup>st<\/sup> June but the Welsh side now in sixth place in the table would have loved the Ghanaian to stay during their own promotion run in.<\/p>\n<p>Forest themselves (other than Adomah) have no selection issues to face Bristol. Adama Diakhaby returns to contention after he couldn\u2019t face his parent club Huddersfield on Sunday with Samba Sow another day in training nearer to his first match since February.<\/p>\n<p>Bristol City are currently in twelfth, six points behind Cardiff in the last playoff spot after losing both their matches post lockdown. Pedro Pereira is one likely to miss out for Lee Johnson\u2019s side. The Robins have lost just once in ten against Forest since 2013 with the two sides locked in a scoreless draw at Ashton Gate earlier in the season when Forest played most of the second half with ten men following Ryan Yates dismissal.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the game Nottingham Forest Manager Sabri Lamouchi stated \u201cIt will be a tough game because they have a good squad, good players and a lot of options in the offensive part.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that they have not been in a good moment but they have the players to change that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about Forest\u2019s chances of even bettering the playoffs and sneaking an unlikely automatic promotion spot The Frenchman said \u201cmaybe we have a small chance, until we can\u2019t we should try, never give up, always believe and nothing is impossible in football\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>*Main image <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NFFC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@NFFC<\/a> the City Ground looking magnificent ahead of their behind-closed doors encounter.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nottingham Forest will look to make it back to back home wins as they face Bristol City in the EFL Championship tonight in a 6pm closed-door kick off at the City Ground.
