Mansfield Town winger CJ Hamilton has moved to Blackpool for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of \u00a3200,000.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old has played over 170 games for the Stags scoring 20 goals since signing from Sheffield United in 2016 and has been a huge hit at the One Call Stadium earning himself a move to the ambitious League One outfit with a 3 year contract plus the option of a further year extension at Bloomfield Road.<\/p>\n
On his move, Hamilton stated \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the future here and I can\u2019t wait to get started.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said \u201cI enjoyed my time at Mansfield, but after speaking to Neil Critchley I knew I wanted to come to Blackpool.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stags Director of Football David Sharpe was sad to see CJ go, stating \u201cWe spoke recently with CJ and his representative regarding his future. In those discussions, it was clear that CJ wasn\u2019t going to commit his future to the club.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWith only a year left on his contract, and following many offers in recent weeks from Blackpool, we felt this transfer was in the best interests of Mansfield Town Football Club.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sharpe however praised the player for his time at Mansfield saying \u201cCJ leaves us in good regard, with our best wishes and gratitude for his endeavours over the past four years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mansfield have been back in training this week with new players adapting to life under new safer measures with the first sessions since March put in place at the RH Academy. Manager Graham Coughlan said of his first day back on Tuesday \u201cWe\u2019ve had a really good day given the restrictions that we are training under\u201d.<\/p>\n
He furthered \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of restrictions on footballers at this moment in time so today was very different, it was weird, it was strange, it was good, a weird good if that makes sense, but it was good to have the lads back on the training ground and to get our eyes on them as it\u2019s been a long time\u201d.<\/p>\n
