Mansfield Town have signed former Forest & Notts County winger Stephen McLaughlin from Southend United on a short term deal.<\/p>\n
The Irishman now 30 has played over 150 games for the Shrimpers since joining them in 2015 and is a player Manager Graham Coughlan knows well.<\/p>\n
The fellow countryman of the Donegal born winger said \u201cStephen gives us competition down the left and can play in several positions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe arrives at One Call Stadium with bags of experience and a promotion from League Two in 2015.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has a terrific work rate and attitude, so will fit into our dressing room really well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mansfield face Tranmere Rovers tomorrow in the first league game of the new campaign with Joe Riley the clubs only absentee.<\/p>\n
Manager Coughlan stated ahead of the game \u201cI\u2019m really excited. The two games (so far) were against tough opponents, but I\u2019m really happy with my squad, individually and collectively.\u201d<\/p>\n
