Mansfield Town are \u2018back at Mill\u2019 tomorrow afternoon as they take on Exeter City at the One Call Stadium in a 3pm Kick Off behind closed doors.<\/p>\n
The Stags are still looking for their first League Two win of the campaign after two draws but following two largely impressive performances, Manager Graham Coughlan has a lot to be optimistic about ahead of the visit of the Grecians.<\/p>\n
Exeter were beaten by Port Vale last time out and have one point from two games so far and Mansfield will be confident they can get their first three points of the season after what was a frustrating couple of draws.<\/p>\n
An opening day scoreless encounter verses Tranmere didn\u2019t tell the whole story in a match Mansfield dominated whilst the Stags took a 2-0 lead at Leyton Orient to eventually concede a late leveller when all three points looked assured.<\/p>\n
Following the match against Leyton Orient a number of players for the O\u2019s were tested positive for coronavirus which could have led to this match for Mansfield being called off but all test results at the club have since proved negative so far.<\/p>\n
Manager Graham Coughlan said of the club since the start of the season \u201cWe\u2019re in a good place. The Town is vibrant as well and we aim to keep inflating that balloon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m quite looking forward to the next couple of weeks to see us evolve, grow and build on what we\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of Saturday’s opponent Exeter he said “They\u2019re a very high calibre opposition. They will be good, they will create and take chances. They give little up at the other end; albeit they got beat last week 2-0, which is a rarity for them.”<\/p>\n
“They\u2019ll come here angry, hurt and will be a dangerous animal. But I\u2019m very confident in our group, our tactics and the way we work.”<\/p>\n
Mansfield take on Exeter without long term injured star Joe Riley but have no other major injury news.<\/p>\n
