After watching his close friend Leigh Wood take the British Featherweight title in tremendous style at the weekend, Carlton\u2019s Brad Daws will now focus on creating his own piece of career-defining history as the 24-year-old Nottingham based boxer faces Scotland\u2019s Mark McKeown at the Bolton Whites Hotel on Friday night.<\/p>\n
Managed by Carl Greaves, Daws has a 100% six fight record so far in the super featherweight division and is hoping to make it seven straight against a man that has had three fights and three wins so far.<\/p>\n
Last time out, Daws beat Taka Bembere at the Britannia Hotel in Nottingham, winning on points in a six-round contest in October 2019. It\u2019s been a long time coming however for his next fight, especially considering his previous five were all crammed into the previous thirteen months before his last having debuted as a pro only in September 2018.<\/p>\n
Unlike Daws, McKeown has had the luxury of twice fighting in 2020 having debuted in November 2019, the 26-year-olds last fight against Levi Dunn ending in technical knock-out for the Scot.<\/p>\n
A tough fight for Daws who is focussed and fit ahead of weigh-in, the man himself stating on Twitter ahead of fight night \u201cafter two previous dates, I\u2019m absolutely buzzing to say fight week is finally here\u201d<\/p>\n
Daws has been working with local fitness trainer John Clarke to get in to line and is said to be in top shape with the boxer stating \u201cthe nutrition plan has got me feeling like a new fighter\u201d.<\/p>\n

Daws has been sparring with the likes of Gavin McDonnell and Rendall Munroe ahead of the fight and is expected to be in for a tough night\u2019s work as two unbeaten boxers put their impressive early records on the line. One of which will win, from Nottingham we hope, as we’ll be backing Daws all the way from bell to bell.<\/p>\n
