Haseeb Hameed has been appointed vice-captain of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and will be skipper of the Notts Outlaws Royal One Day Cup team this summer.<\/p>\n
The player who signed for Notts last year after being released by Lancashire in 2019 stated \u201cIt\u2019s an honour to be handed the responsibility of being Vice-Captain and I\u2019m also really looking forward to the challenge of leading a talented young team into the Royal London Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n
The three-time England International has a test average at 43.80 but has struggled in recent years to live up to his incredible potential after first announcing himself onto the international scene as a teenage sensation in 2016.<\/p>\n
Now 24, Hameed is still young and eager and after enjoying a solid debut year for Notts in the Bob Willis Trophy last summer, has been handed responsibility by Coach Peter Moores who said \u201cHass became a popular member of the group very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n
