Badge Change Gets Mixed Response
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club have reverted back to the sides original club crest for next seasons Specsavers County Championship with the NCC logo that first appeared on the counties caps back in 1904.
The logo which will be on the new Adidas white shirts for the 2020 second division season replaces the long used Stag which was first used in 1996.
Some fans have felt surprised by the change many still love the stag with others really liking the updated version of the original historic crest with Notts Chief Executive Lisa Pursehouse stating “The stag has served us well, but the opportunity to restore our original club crest holds great appeal.”
Nottinghamsire will open up the season at Trent Bridge on the 12th April 2020 verses Leicestershire as they look to gain promotion back into the First Division after relegation last year.
