Logan Moves To Forest Green

Mansfield Town Goalkeeper Conrad Logan has moved to Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the campaign.

The 33 year old Irish shot stopper has made 25 appearances and impressed in early performances during the first half of the year but has recently lost his place to Austrian Bobby Olejnik under new Manager Graham Coughlan.

Coughlan said that “Conrad was eager to play games” stating “He was doing some coaching at the club and was conscious that he was becoming known as a coach, rather than a player.”

“Conrad asked if it would be possible to pursue other avenues and we allowed him to do so.”

This weekend the Stags are hoping to bounce back after some recent poor form from three successive defeats as they host promotion pushing Bradford City at Field Mill.

Wing back Kellan Gordon is out but Willem Tomlinson could feature whilst both Danny Rose and Hayden White will undergo a late fitness test.

Bradford are fifth in the table and have former Stag Clayton Donaldson in their ranks and potentially looking to return to the lineup following injury suffered in October.

The two sides faced each other in December with the Bantams winning 2-0 at Valley Parade with two penalties scored by James Vaughan.

The Stags are currently in 20th position in League 2 now just five points ahead of bottom of the table Morecambe but a win could take Mansfield as high up as 17th should results go their way.

Kick Off at the One Call Stadium is 3pm Saturday afternoon with tickets available on the day.
