Binkley Bolsters Panthers Defence

Nottingham Panthers have been quick to replace Defenceman Jason DeSantis who left the club earlier this week as another Jason replaces him for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign.

Right Shot Defenceman Jason Binkley has joined the Panthers after spending the last four years playing for the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL having made four appearances for the Clevelend Monsters in the AHL.

The 27 year old American ony made his AHL debut this season and Panthers Director of Hockey Gui Doucet stated “The fact that Jason made his AHL debut this season shows he’s probably playing the best hockey of his career right now and we’re excited to see him in the black and gold of the Panthers as soon as possible.”

Doucet mentioned “We needed to add a right shot defenceman and to get a guy with Jason’s quality at this stage is huge for our team as we hunt down a run up the standings.”

Tonight’s valentines Friday match up verses Fife Flyers might come too early for Binkley but he’ll be no doubt a huge addition to the squad as the season draws to a close with the playoffs very much at the forefront of everyone at Nottingham Panthers minds.

Those attending the Motorpoint Arena for the visit of Fife will want to know that face off is 7:30pm with local boxer Leigh Wood in attendance to ‘drop the puck.’
