Magpies Sign Reeves

Notts County yesterday signed combative midfielder Jake Reeves after his contract expired with League Two Bradford City in June.

The former Wimbledon player has previously worked under Neal Ardley who has high regard for the 27 year old former Tottenham youth player who has also had spells at Brentford and Swindon.

On signing with Notts to re-unite with his old Manager Reeves stated “The gaffer has been a big influence on my career to date. I like the fact that he’s very approachable – especially with off-field matters. He’s not just your manager, he tries to look after you as a person.”

“I like that there’s a project in place, first and foremost to get promoted. This is a bigger club than where it is and there are the right people in the right departments to help it grow and grow.”

“To win promotion and get this club going again would be a big thing for me.”

Reeves played 18 times in League Two last season for Bradford and played 46 times in three seasons for the Bantams after moving from Wimbledon where made over 100 appearances gaining promotion from League Two in 2016.

Prior to that Reeves started his professional career at Brentford playing 46 games for the Bees in between loan spells at St Albans City & Wimbledon before a short spell at Swindon Town.

Reeves is a fierce competitor in midfield and will offer Notts County a different dynamic to what they have and is a player with vital football league experience as the team look to go one step better next season than last.
