Of the handful of matches played in midweek across the county, several took place in the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup First Round with Notts County B, Carlton Town, and West Bridgford all progressing.

The Magpies’ B side eased to a 4-1 win when away to Gedling Miners Welfare on Tuesday night, the hosts netting midway through the second half via Courtney Hastings; in reply for the visitors, in front of crowd exceeding 200 spectators, was that of Daniel Emmanuel, Harrison Iwunze, Mylo Baker and Charlie Gill.

On the same night Carlton Town made short work of their visitors, Clifton All Whites, when registering a 4-0 win to progress, Liam Moran’s brace helping them on their way whilst Oliver Clark and Niall Hylton also found the back of the net, and on the following night, West Bridgford battled through with a 2-1 home win of their own, they seeing off Rainworth Miners Welfare.
