Libby Leaves Notts

Jake Libby has signed for Worcestershire on a 3 year deal after leaving Nottinghamshire by mutual consent.

The 26 year old Plymouth born batsmen spent five years at Trent Bridge averaging 28.60 first class runs with an impressive T20 average of 33.54 and joins a fellow Second Division outfit who like Notts struggled in the longer format in 2019.

The right handed Libby made 75 appearances for Nottinghamshire and stated “I’ve hugely enjoyed my time with at Trent Bridge and will forever be grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to prove myself as a professional cricketer.”

“After five years with Notts, I feel the time is right to move into a new phase of my career and take on a fresh challenge.”

His Coach Peter Moores thanked Libby for his contributions at Notts stating ““There’s been some exceptional performances to remember and some tough times as well. He’s remained very positive throughout; always a pleasure to coach and to have around the group.”

“With Jake having expressed a desire to join Worcestershire, we have agreed for him to leave and we wish him all the best with the next chapter.”
