Diakhaby Signs For Forest

Nottingham Forest have signed French winger Adama Diakhaby from Huddersfield Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 23 year old hasn’t played for The Terriers since November 30th falling out of favour with Huddersfield’s new Manager Danny Cowley having made 18 appearances without scoring in the Championship this season.

After moving to England from Monaco in 2018 Diakhaby played 12 times in Town’s Premier League relegation campaign last year and is a tall speedy left winger that comes with a pedigree having played in the French Ligue 1 as well as the French U21 national team and in the Champions League whilst at Monaco.

Diakhaby will offer pace and a direct threat in running at opposition defenders on the opposite side to Joe Lolley whilst hopefully serving up striker Lewis Grabban with more ammunition.

On signing for the club the Frenchman said “I feel very good and very confident, I am happy to sign for Nottingham Forest. The coach called me and I am very excited to show how I can play for this club and hopefully we can go up to the Premier League.”
