New Ownership At Eastwood

New Ownership Announces Long-Term Community Vision for Eastwood CFC Eastwood CFC has entered a new chapter following a change in ownership, with new owner Ben Edwards outlining long-term plans focused on community engagement, youth development, local identity, and wider investment into the club’s future.

The takeover follows a major restructure behind the scenes and comes at a time when increasing numbers of supporters are rediscovering the appeal of non-league football and community-driven clubs.

Edwards, alongside BE Group, says the aim is to help transform Eastwood into a club the wider town can reconnect with both on and off the pitch.

‘People are falling back in love with non-league football because it still feels personal and connected to the communities around it.

‘We want Eastwood to become something the whole town feels proud of again. There’s a huge opportunity to build something positive around the club both for supporters and for the wider community,’ he said.

As part of the club’s new direction, Steve Kirkham has been appointed Managing Director and will lead Eastwood forward both on and off the pitch.

Sarah Robertson and Emily Harvey have joined the club’s leadership team, alongside Zander Shayler, who continues in his role, with Paul Bullock also returning to support the wider operation. On the football side, the First Team will continue to be managed by Willis Francis and Mark Clarke, with former professional footballer Lewis McGugan leading the academy setup.

The club has also confirmed plans to provide match kits across its junior sections this season, alongside wider redevelopment plans aimed at creating a more welcoming and community-driven environment for supporters, local families, players, and businesses.

Future ambitions for the site include upgraded hospitality and event spaces, a refurbished sports bar, new outdoor social areas, and expanded community use as part of the club’s wider long-term vision.

The club will also host a summer fete and player announcement event in June as part of the next phase of its wider relaunch plans.

‘There’s a real opportunity here to build something exciting over the next few years, both for the club and for the wider community around it.

‘We know there’s a lot of work ahead, but everyone involved is fully committed to moving Eastwood forward in the right way,’ said Edwards.
