Notts Re-Sign Graham

Notts County have re-signed defender Sam Graham from Sheffield United, a player who was on loan at the club last season and one who will return for a second spell after his initial move was cut short through injury.

The young central defender was loaned out by the Blades at the start of the 2019/20 campaign and played ten games for Notts early-doors last season before an Achilles injury ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.

Since going back to his parent club Graham has made a strong recovery and re-joins the Magpies in a bid to continue his development whilst helping Neal Ardley’s side hopefully towards promotion along the way.

Graham stated “I’ve been working hard over the past eight months to get fit and now I’m back.”

“I started training two weeks before lockdown and then had a hard programme to do at home every day.”

“I’ve been training with the first team, which has been a great experience, and now it feels good to be back at Notts.”

The Sheffield born centre back aged 20 has had previous loan spells at Halifax, Oldham and Central Coast Mariners of the Australian A-League and will be a huge boost to Notts squad with him likely to feature against Alfreton Town on Saturday in the Magpies second pre-season friendly of the belated summer.
