Stags Hoping To Go Above Bolton
A win for Mansfield Town at the University of Bolton Stadium Tonight and the Stags will go above their Lancastrian opponents who are currently in 19th on goal difference, a defeat however and the Stags could end the evening two points above the relegation places with Scunthorpe a position below them in 23rd having three games in hand.
Not quite must win but must not lose mentality will be essential for Mansfield to pull away from the drop zone as Richard Cooper takes the reigns again following his first match in interim charge at the weekend which ended in commendable 1-1 draw with Walsall.
Ollie Clarke and Joe Riley will again be missing whilst Mal Benning and Corey O’Keefe should return from isolation periods with Mansfield changing their formation from a three/five across the back that was a regular thing under former Manager Graham Coughlan to a more routine 4-3-3 which worked well for Cooper against Walsall.
With Nicky Maynard back in scoring form with his first of the season at the weekend the Stags will be looking for the veteran striker to lead by example tonight against a Bolton side who suffered a 4-0 defeat against Leyton Orient at the weekend.
Bolton, who face the Stags for the first time since 1993, have won just two of their ten league games this season and will be hoping to bounce back after their worst defeat of the season so far. Trotters defender Alex Baptiste born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, could line up against his old club having made 177 appearances for Mansfield between 2002 and 2008.
The match is available for £10 to watch on iFollow with a 7pm kick off scheduled. For more information click here and visit the Mansfield Town official website where you can see the game.
