Two In Two Out At Forest

It’s been a busy last few days in the transfer window for Nottingham Forest as the club have signed Gaetan Bong from Brighton & Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee.

Left back Bong, a Cameroon international was a firm fixture under Chris Hughton at the Seagulls since signing from Wigan Athletic in 2015 but has since found things difficult under the clubs latest Manager Graham Potter with only four substitute appearances this season.

The 31 year old started his career at Ligue 1 side Metz before joining Valenciennes where he made over 100 appearances in the French top league.

After a spell at Olimpiacos in Greece he joined Wigan on a short term deal before Brighton snapped him up gaining promotion from the championship and enjoying a regular stint in the Premier League until the start of this season. With over 100 games for the south coast side he brings experience and is a solid dependable defender with 16 international caps for Cameroon.

Also joining Bong in training at the Nigel Doughty Academy this week is Tyler Walker who returns from a successful spell at Lincoln City where he’s scored 14 League One goals this season.

Going the other way however is Chema Rodriguez who signs for La Liga outfit Getafe after just eight league appearances for Forest whilst Costel Pantilimon joins AC Omonia of Cyprus on loan until the end of the season.
