RHP Sports Going Well

A number of matches involving Notts-based clubs were played in the Camper UK Central Midlands Alliance Premier’s this past midweek, with victories for Teversal in the North, and both Linby Colliery Welfare and Mansfield Hosiery Mills in the South.

Alongside those successes, in the Premier North, RHP Sports & Social are enjoying their start to the new season, adding a midweek draw at home to Glapwell to add to their season-opening win over Yorkshire Main.

Promoted as runners-up from Division One East last season, RHP Sports presently find themselves in fifth, five off top spot, with a couple of games in hand already; opposing visitors Glapwell it would be RHP who’d lead, with seven to go, via substitute Keanu Jones, the visitors levelling at the death as Luke McKernan crashed one home from range.

Elsewhere in the North, Teversal are back on top following a 3-1 win at home to Staveley Miners Welfare, Joshua Parfitt with a goal at the start of the first, and end of the second, Nathan Hadley’s effort sandwiched between.

SJR Worksop and Ollerton Town played out an enjoyable, goalless draw, whilst Chae Whitman-Brown netted again for Worksop Town Reserves, but were undone by a Bradley Kerr brace in a 3-1 loss to visitors Dinnington.

In the Premier South there were enjoyable wins for both Linby, 4-1 at Borrowash Victoria, and Hosiery Mills, 3-0 at home to fellow Notts-based side, Blidworth Welfare.

Zachary Hamilton bagged a brace in Linby’s eventually comfortable win, they level at ones-apiece at the break when in Derbyshire, further goals for the victors came via Ashdon Bernard and Ethan Fells as they moved into fourth place.

Mansfield HM moved level on points with Linby, and sit in sixth place, after their 3-0 home win over a Blidworth side who have had a stuttering start to the new campaign; Billy Brooks was the recipient of two of the victors’ goals, the other coming via Aston Thompson.

In the remaining game, mid-table Selston were beaten 3-1 away to Cromford & Wirksworth Town, their goal coming via the opposition.

Moving on to this coming weekend, the Central Midlands Alliance will also see their regionalised, Division One’s, kickstart their respective campaigns, thus plenty of action to enjoy across the board.
