DeSantis Leaves As Panthers Face Storm
Nottingham Panthers Defenceman Jason DeSantis has left the club after handing in his notice earlier this week. The club stated that they’re “disappointed to learn of his decision” suggesting they had “no prior notification of the players intentions with no prior contact from any new clubs” in potentially taking him on board.
Without DeSantis the Panthers are otherwise near full strength with only John Rheault missing for tonight’s tough trip to Manchester Storm.
Adam Deutsch returns on defence whilst Rheault still recovers from an upper body injury. A win for the Panthers will take them tied with Belfast Giants in third but a defeat will mean a much needed two points for Manchester who are currently a point above Dundee Stars just outside the playoff zone.
Following tonight’s match up the Panthers are also in home action on Friday night in a Valentines match up against Fife Flyers with tickets still available.
Boxer Leigh Wood will be in attendance on Friday to drop the puck ahead of his Golden Contract fight in a couple of weeks’ time.
