Nottingham Forest will take on Luton Town for the first time in over eleven years this weekend as they head to the Hatters with both clubs having lost their last two league games.
Reds Coach Sabri Lamouchi will be looking to pick back up the form which saw him crowned EFL Championship Manager of the Month for September after a miserable October that has seen the side slip from second to tenth in their promotion push.
The Frenchman stated “We have Luton and Derby before the international break and we need to focus on these. It is not quite like two finals, but they are two important games for us.”
Forest are still without Michael Dawson but midfielder Ryan Yates has returned to action since injury recently and he suggested Saturdays opponents will be no pushovers telling the press yesterday “I’ve been to Luton before and it is a tight ground, the fans are on top of you and we will have to try and settle them down first being away from home. Hopefully our qualities will then shine through and we can win the game.”
Luton are likely to have James Collins and Harry Cornick in attack with five goals each so far this season they have scored 21 goals in the league (compared to Forest’s 17) but frailties defensively (letting in 25 already) have suggested they may also concede.
On Forest’s recent form Sabri Lamouchi told us the Reds still have a chance to push against those at the top “With two wrong results, we are just two points from second place having played one game less. We are one of 10 or 12 teams who are very close. With two or three positive results, you are up there, but with two or three negative results, you are in the middle of the table. We just need to consistent.”
Kick Off is 3pm at Kenilworth Road although the away allocation has fully sold out.
