Bilborough Town take on Rainworth Miners Welfare tonight in the second round of the Notts FA Senior Cup at the Harvey Haddon Stadium with an 8pm kick off under the lights.
Bilborough are currently 15th in the NSL and lost 6-1 at Southwell City last time out whilst Rainworth lie 11th in the East Midlands Counties League in what is in effect a league above tonight’s opponents.
The away side go in to the game unbeaten in two with both teams last outings postponed due to the weather.
Those wishing to attend tonight’s game are urged not to attempt to enter the ground before 7pm due to the clearing up of an athletics event.
Also in County Cup action tonight is Sherwood Colliery and Eastwood Community who face each other for the second time this season.
In August Sherwood beat Eastwood at Coronation Park 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Charlie Taylor and Kieran Wells in between a Kieren Watson strike to take all three points back to Mansfield.
Tonight’s game at Debdale Lane kicks off at 7:45pm with both sides going strong in the league level on points in fifth and sixth of the East Midlands Counties Premier Division.
Both Sherwood and Eastwood have lost their last two matches each getting knocked out of the FA Vase in recent weeks and although Eastwood come in to the game marginally fresher after their weekend league match at Kimberley was postponed Sherwood do have game time under their belts following a 3-1 defeat at Hucknall Town.
Finally in the Midland Football League tonight Selston who’s last game was on the 23rd October will finally (weather permitting) take the pitch as they take on Heather St John’s.
Selston are currently 19th and second from bottom but with games in hand whilst their North West Leicestershire based opponents are flying high in second spot.
There is a pitch inspection this afternoon but if deemed playable the game at the Parish Hall Ground will go ahead at 7:45pm.
