Panthers Hit Six On The Road

Coventry Blaze 3-6 Nottingham Panthers (Elite League) 07.12.19

Another win for Nottingham Panthers last night this time a high scoring 6-3 victory at Coventry Blaze for Tim Wallace’s men the fourth win in five games in the Elite League and the eleventh in fourteen matches in all competitions.

Jackson Whistle got the nod in goal but could do nothing about the home team taking the lead on 4.30 of the first period when Ferrara slashed home. The Panthers however were behind for just over two minutes as Brett Bulmer equalised after good work from Horvat.

In a goal packed first period Julian Talbot gave the Panthers the lead and Ollie Betteridge made it three before Andrew Johnston pulled one back ahead of a much-needed sit down for both players and fans during the break.

If you thought the goalscoring action would have quietened down you’d be wrong as the second period started just the same way when 1.19 in Dylan Malmquist restored Nottingham’s two goal advantage before a minute later Rob Lachowicz fired home after Sam Herr’s assist.

Bloodoff found the net for Coventry midway through the second period to bring the score to 5-3 going into the last and as the Blaze attacked a resolute Panthers defense it was left until the final seconds of the game to wrap up the points assured as Bulmer scored into an empty net to crown off victory.

Jackson Whistle saved 27 shots whilst Brett Bulmer racked up another three points in the Panthers highlights as they go into the game with Guildford Flames tonight knowing another win can take them as high as third in the table.
