Wootton Pens Deal With Notts

Notts County have completed the permanent signing of striker Kyle Wootton who has been on loan at the club since August.

23 year old Wootton has nine league goals this season as well as three in the FA Cup following his successful loan spell at Meadow Lane from Scunthorpe United who he’s been with since 2014.

After regular loan spells away from Glanford Park Wootton joined Notts County in the summer and has now signed a deal keeping him at the Magpies until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Manager Neal Ardley stated ‘the club have been working for two months in turning the loan transfer of Wootton into a permanent one” and the club are now delighted to keep the player on a more permanent basis.

The striker who’s forged a terrific partnership with Wes Thomas in Notts County’s National League promotion push had previous temporary spells at Lincoln City, North Ferriby, Cheltenham Town, Stevenage and Halifax before moving to Meadow Lane.

This season Wooton has so far averaged just under a goal every two games as the club hope his form continues towards the business end of the season.
