The draw for the semi-finals of the Nottinghamshire Football Association Senior Cup was made last night live on Notts TV with the winners of Wednesday night’s match between Teversal & Nottingham Forest U23’s set to take on Notts County at home.
Notts have used a young side in the competition so far having seen off AFC Mansfield and Newark Town with Forest beating Basford United in the round previous they must overcome East Midlands Counties outfit Teversal who are the lowest ranked side left in the competition in a rescheduled Quarter Final at Carnarvon Street.
In the other remaining tie Carlton Town, finalists last season after being beaten by Basford in the final at Meadow Lane take on Newark Flowserve who have made the last four for the first time in the clubs history.
Northern Premier League side Carlton edged past Gedling Miners Welfare on penalties in the last round with hero Goalkeeper Jack Steggles saving the decisive kick whilst Newark beat Eastwood comfortably to set up a mouth watering tie at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
Dates for the ties are to be confirmed after Wednesday’s Quarter Final has been played.
