Magpies Counting Down For Kick Off

Notts County are warming up ahead of Sunday’s huge National League Playoff Final at Wembley Stadium and as the weather heats up so does the tension ahead of what will be a huge game as the Magpies look to return back to the football league after just one year.

Neal Ardley’s side have no new injury worries with many predicting the starting line up will stay the same as that which beat Barnet last Saturday with Jim O’Brien offering comfort left midfield in front of young full back Joel Bagan as Enzo Boldewijn is set to again start on the bench.

That means Kyle Wootton and Kristian Dennis should start up front with Cal Roberts down the right and captain Michael Doyle joined again by Mitch Rose in the centre of midfield.

After dominant displays at the weekend Ben Turner and Alex Lacey will again be centre halves whilst Tom Brindley resumes at right back with Sam Slocombe in goal after returning to action with a clean sheet.

Harrogate like Notts can switch from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 and are likely to feature a front line of Jack Diamond, Jack Muldoon who scored the winner against Boreham Wood in their semi-final and Aaron Martin although Mark Beck could start up front to add some additional height.

In midfield they have Lloyd Kerry, George Thomson and Ryan Fallowfield each offering County a combative opposition whilst In defence Smith and Hall will marshal full backs Burrell on the left and Falkingham on the right with James Belshaw in goal.

Although fans will not be aloud at Wembley Stadium to watch the game there are a number of incentives to allow supporters to be there in spirit with match day programmes and commemorative pennants available through the clubs website.

The club will also be wearing a new sponsor, that of local transport business Sharpes of Nottingham, who have been donated sponsorship by Cadbury who are helping smaller businesses cope with the strains of survival through losses during covid-19.

The match on Sunday kicks off at 3pm and is LIVE on BT Sport.
