Three Teams On Three From Three

In the Owzat Cricket Notts Premier League there are just three teams remaining on maximum points from their three games played as both Cavaliers & Carrington and Radcliffe on Trent continued their winning starts to the season in the South Section with Kimberley Institute again took victory in the North Group following their win at Papplewick & Linby.

Kimberley scored 196 from their 40 overs with Dominic Brown hitting 77 and in reply the away side bowled superbly seeing off their hosts for 149 and bowling them out with three overs and a ball to spare. Alex King taking 3/29 the pick of the bunch.

In a low scoring game at Cuckney, Hucknall managed just 126 before they were bowled out by the home side with three wickets each for Lewis Bramley, Jack Blatherwick and David France. Cuckney themselves stuttered to their targeted total with just under two overs remaining. Tom Keast scoring 42 as the Bassetlaw based side won by six wickets.

Finally in the North Group, Caythorpe beat Mansfield Hosiery Mills by 31 runs. Scoring 223 from their 40 overs with Lyndon James in fine form hitting 74 whilst David Schadendorf grabbed a half century himself, Adam Dobb the pick of the bowlers for Mansfield with 4/39.

In reply the visiting team hit 192 all out with an 85 from Adam Dobb the highest score of the day.

In the South Section Group Radcliffe beat Plumtree by eight wickets with the visitors hitting 183/6 from 40 overs with Ben Compton and Richard Brazier both scoring 52. It took Radcliffe in reply just 31 overs to pass the target with Rob Sutton (66) and Jake Fish (68) seeing them home comfortably.

Cavaliers and Carrington are top of the South Division ahead of Radcliffe on NET run rate after seeing off Clifton Village just as comfortably. Clifton scored 219/9 with a half century for Hasnain Nasir as Jigar Naik took five for 33. Cavs in reply lost just two wickets with Bilal Shafayat (54) retired hurt. Kamran Younas hit 80 whilst Shivsinh Thakor was 59 not out.

Finally Wollaton beat Attenborough at the Strand with a revised target from 36 overs. Attenborough were bowled out for 141 with Zain Latif taking a superb 5/19 whilst in reply Wollaton hit 136/4 with Daniel Andrew 74 not out.
