Abandoned At Lightening
Notts Outlaws match at Lancashire Lightening has been abandoned due to the wet weather in Liverpool after the Umpires called the decision to share the points between the North Group Vitality Blast top two sides.
On reflection it might not be a bad result for Notts who see their second T20 fixture of the summer abandoned due to the rain with both teams now on two wins and two no results from their four scheduled games so far.
With six to play, both Notts and Lancashire sit joint top of the group with two teams in each of the three groups reaching the quarter-finals along with the two best performing third placed teams.
Attention for the Outlaws now turns to Leicestershire on Friday as Notts face the Foxes at Trent Bridge as they look for better weather in the hope they can build on their points tally so far.
Lancashire’s hosting at Aigburth in Liverpool today was due to their usual Old Trafford facility being used recently for England games as one of two ‘bubble’ venues during the International calendar.
