Local Sides In Cup Action

Notts County take on Harrogate Town in a bid for a Wembley final place tonight as they host the side that beat them in the National League Playoff final in August at Meadow Lane behind closed doors in the semi-final of the FA Trophy.

The close of the 2019/20 competition has been long delayed and the semi-final is now a single leg match with the winner of the tie tonight set to play Concord Rangers in the final.

Kick off is at 7:40pm and you can watch live through the Notts County website.

In the FA Cup it is also a huge night for some of our local non-league sides as West Bridgford take on Halesowen Town at Regatta Way with only 300 allowed in attendance.

The Nottingham side have already made it the furthest in the famous old competition in the clubs short history having won their extra preliminary round tie and receiving a bye in the last round to reach the First Qualifying Round for the first ever time.

Another side making history are Newark FC who’s debut in the competition is going well. Newark travel down the A1 to face Rushden & Diamonds tonight in a 7:45pm kick off at Hayden Road.

That game is also capped to 300 supporters with minimal tickets still available.

Elsewhere in the FA Cup AFC Mansfield host Gainsborough Trinity in what looks a tasty encounter at the Forest Town Arena. This match is pay on the gate but also limited to the first 300 to turn up.

Northern Premier League sides Carlton Town travel to Banbury United whilst Basford United visit Chasetown.

Finally another NPL outfit Worksop Town visit Hellenic League Westfields FC who play in Herefordshire.

Good luck to all the counties sides tonight in the greatest knockout competition in world football. Good luck to Notts County in their quest to bring home the FA Trophy.
