It’s beginning to look like a very good campaign for Nottingham Hoods who won their seventh and eighth successive games of the season this weekend.
On Saturday, Nottingham made it four wins out of four so far in the league, taking on Reading Rockets who in turn took the Hoods all the way to the wire, eventually Coach Stanley’s side coming out on top by just three points, winning 81-78 in Berkshire after a dominant final quarter of the game saw them turn around a three point deficit to edge out their hosts.
The Hoods scoring hoops with Morakinyo Williams netting 18 points total the best performer of the day, Johde Campbell 15 and Adam Vickers 13 were amongst the others to register on the board.
Then yesterday, Nottingham ran away with victory against Team Wolves in the Men’s National Cup First round scoring a resounding 96-69 win with 26 points scored this time by Campbell and another twenty for Williams in a high scoring weekend for both players.
Next up for the Hoods is Derby Trailblazers back in NBL action on Thursday with another Division One game on Saturday, this time at Bradford Dragons.
Unfortunately things aren’t going so well in the WBBL for Nottingham Wildcats who were beaten by Sheffield Hatters on Saturday.
Sheffield eventually coming away from the Wildcats Arena with a 81-57 victory, Shaunay Edmonds top scoring for Nottingham with 27 points the shining light on a miserable weekend for Kenrick Liburd’s side.
