Nottingham Panthers will be without forward Kevin Domingue for the next month at least, as the Canadian who has two goals in the Elite League so far this season, has been put on the injured reserve (IR) list with a lower body injury.
The club state “Kevin visited a specialist on Monday where it was determined he would not be able to return to action before the mandatory 21 day IR period was up.”
His listing on the IR has been backdated from Sunday October 31st.
The club have however received some positive news that Morgan Clarke-Pizzo has been removed from the IR list and is now eligible for Elite League ice time after an upper body injury.
The club are in action with back-to-back home matches at the Motorpoint Arena this weekend. On Saturday Dundee Stars visit Nottingham in the Premier Sports Elite League (7pm start) whilst on Sunday, Manchester Storm are in town for a 4pm face off in the Challenge Cup.
The Panthers currently sit second behind Sheffield Steelers in the league after six games played, whilst in the cup, Nottingham have already qualified (along with their rivals the Steelers who top the standings) in a three team group with Manchester yet to win a match from their opening six attempts.
This weekend, spectators aged 18 and above will be asked to provide proof of full covid-19 vaccination or a negative test (PCR or lateral flow) taken 36 hours ahead of either game, to gain entrance into the Motorpoint Arena.
