Caesars Coaching Line-Up Confirmed

After a relatively successful 2021 campaign, one which would see that of the Nottingham Caesars undefeated in the British American Football Association Central East, their only blot being a cross-divisional loss to the highly-regarded Manchester Titans, Head Coach Vanden Warner, has announced his coaching team for next year, 2022.

In announcing their Offensive Coaches, the Caesars said: “We want to introduce our Senior Teams Offensive Coaching staff for the 2022 season.

“We welcome Coach Hutton, the University of Nottingham Green Offensive Coordinator, to work with our quarterback’s; David George has now retired from playing and is coaching the Tight End group; Tom Harvey and Mark Price round out the staff as Offensive Assistants; and Andrew Dennison has joined the staff as Quality Control Coach.”

  • Grant Lawless – Offensive Coordinator & Running Backs (OC/RB)
  • Peter Brown – Wide Receiver (WR)
  • Lloyd Stone – Offensive Line (OL)
  • David George – Tight End (TE)
  • Eliot Hutton – Quarterback (QB)
  • Andrew Dennison – Quality Control
  • Mark Price/Tom Harvey – Offensive Assistants

Whilst the Defensive Coaches, announced at the same time, the Caesars added, similar to the offensive coaches, with the following: “Josh Poultney has now retired from playing and is coaching the Defensive Line.

“Ashley Chambers, formerly of the Jurassic Coast Raptors (Dorchester) joins as a Defensive Assistant.”

In addition, Toni Read, who the Nottingham Sport interviewed for International Women’s Day 2021 (which you can read here) will continue her role as the Caesars Physiotherapist.

It’s expected that Head Coach Vanden Warner, his coaching staff, and early pool of players will have their first session of the New Year, on Wednesday 12 January, ahead of the 2022 campaign.
