Retford Thump Swallows
Retford FC had a thumping 5-1 victory at home to Swallownest last night in the Northern Counties East League First Division match played under the lights in front of 128 spectators at Babworth Road.
Adam Scott opened the scoring on 22 minutes for   but James Woodhouse levelled on 35 for the visitors from Sheffield.
Gareth Campion had Retford back in the lead a minute before half time and netted again seven minutes after the break to make it three. Scott then got his second of the match from the penalty spot on 67 before Jack Johnson rounded things off on 73, Retford now seventh in the table and just one point below the playoff zone.

In the United Counties League First Division, an all-Notts local derby featured West Bridgford and Gedling Miners Welfare with the away side taking all three points on the night.
Rueben Wiggins-Thomas getting a first half double for Gedling before Courtney Hastings made it 0-3 just a couple of minutes into the second half. Josh Lawe did pull one back but too little too late for West Bridgford who stay sixteenth in the table, Gedling up to thirteenth with their win.

Finally in the Central Midlands League on Tuesday night, Ashland Rovers Reserves beat Kilburn 2-1 with goals from Jack Harvey and Ash Cunningham, to pick up only their third win of the season in the Macron Store Nottingham Division One Central.
Tonight, Retford United host Harworth Colliery in the second round of the Buckingham Insurance League Cup whilst AFC Mansfield travel to Penistone Church in the NCEL Premier Division. Finally Clipstone are at Armthorpe Welfare in the NCEL Division One.
