Notts TV hosted live the Notts FA Women’s County Cup Draw for the competitions Senior Section Quarter Finals last night with Mansfield Hosiery Mills set to face Notts County Women and Nottingham Trent University welcoming Nottingham Forest in two very eye catching matches indeed.
The two other ties are equally as mouth watering as Mansfield Town travel to Basford United Ladies whilst Sherwood FC welcome Retford FC to make up the eight teams still involved.
In the previous round staged way back in November, Mansfield Hosiery Mills beat Arnold Eagles Flyers 5-1 to set up their home tie with Notts County who received a walkover against Meden Vale Colts to reach this stage.
NTU also received a walkover from their proposed match against Keyworth United whilst Forest, their opponents in the quarter finals who are the holders and highest ranked team in the competition, they beat Woodhouse Colts 13-0 to progress.
To reach the last eight, Basford United beat West Bridgford Colts 3-1 whilst their next opponents Mansfield beat Arnold Eagles First Team 6-1 in the previous round and Sherwood saw off Newark Town 7-2 whilst Retford were another that received a walkover after their match with Gedling Southbank never went ahead.
The ties will take place on Sunday 19th February with 2pm kick-offs proposed.

In the men’s Senior Cup Semi-Finals which was drawn a week ago, Nottingham Forest Academy will play Newark & Sherwood United whilst Mansfield Town’s youngsters will face holders Carlton Town in a repeat of last season’s final.
To reach the last four, Forest beat Gedling Miners Welfare 7-0 in the previous round with Newark actually losing their match against Basford United 3-0. The Southern Premier League team however played an illegible player and were thrown out of the competition so the Highwaymen will get a second chance and an opportunity to pit their wits against a professional outfit packed of Premier League quality youngsters.
For holders Carlton, they beat Dunkirk on penalties after a 0-0 draw and they’ll again face Mansfield who they beat in the final 1-0 last year. The Stags seeing off Notts County 6-1 in the last round after earlier knocking Selston out of the cup 6-0 at the second round stage.
Semi-final tie dates and venues are to be confirmed.
