Late Leveller Keeps Tigers In Cup

Worksop Town are in the hat for the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup after a last-minute leveller by Luke Hall ensured their match against King’s Lynn Town on Saturday went to a replay.

The Tigers went behind to a Josh Hmani goal midway through the first half and although they largely dominated the match, rode their luck against opposition a league higher with Seb Markowski saving from Josh McCammon on 77 which if scored would surely have put the result beyond doubt.

With the home team pushing and as seven minutes of stoppage time ticked. Luke Hall let fly after a free kick was charged down and fell to him on the volley to nestle the net and send the home support into raptures. Hall saying after the match “as soon as I hit it I knew”

Worksop will now travel to the Walks Stadium in Norfolk on Tuesday night for their replay with the winner receiving over £9,000 in prize money and a potential tie at Curzon Ashton to come.
