Pure Opens Nottingham Padel Centre

The UK’s fastest-growing padel club operator, Pure Padel, has this week opened the doors of its new club in Nottingham. The seven-court premium venue is the sixth Pure Padel club to open, and signals a landmark moment for one of the UK’s most sporting cities as its first indoor padel location.

The state-of-the-art venue opens on the site of a Grade I listed 1920 bus depot in the heart of Nottingham city centre, and features four doubles courts and three singles courts, creating a unique space for both recreational and competitive players. The club will also include a thriving social space with a food and beverage café and bar, a pro shop, changing rooms, and showers – making it a complete destination for sport, leisure, and social connection.

The opening of Pure Padel Nottingham further cements Nottingham’s position as one of the UK’s top sporting cities, ideally positioned opposite the world’s oldest professional football club Notts County FC, and also close to former two-time European Cup Winners Nottingham Forest FC, and one of England’s most famous cricket grounds, Trent Bridge. The club is also just a 10-minute walk from Nottingham Train Station, ensuring excellent accessibility and exposure to the high footfall of the surrounding area.

Sammy Arora, Founder and Managing Director of Pure Padel, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our sixth club – and Nottingham’s first indoor venue – in what is in many ways considered the UK’s most sporting city. It’s not lost on us just how much Nottingham and the East Midlands region craves its sport, which is why we’ve made the purposeful decision to transform this stunning, historic building into a modern space that befits modern-day Nottingham and the city’s passion for sport.

“This is a big moment for the city of Nottingham and the wider East Midlands––with a population that I have no doubt will fall fast for padel’s charms. I can’t wait to welcome the local community to play, train, and compete at Pure Padel, as we continue on our journey to bring the sport to the biggest urban centres across the country,” he added.

With Nottingham now open, Pure Padel is now a 33-court padel operator and on the verge of becoming the largest operator in the UK. The company has become a dominant force on the UK sporting scene ever since the opening of its first club in Alderley Park (3 outdoor courts) in October 2023. In the two years since, the company, led by ambitious entrepreneur Sammy Arora, has opened its flagship indoor club in Manchester City Centre, followed by Darlington (7 indoor courts), Stockport (5 indoor courts) and North Leeds (4 outdoor courts).

With accessibility at Pure Padel’s core, matches will be on a ‘pay to play’ basis, allowing players of all abilities to book and play via the Playtomic app from 7am to 10pm. The app enables first-time or solo players to find and play with others of a similar level, matching them accordingly for a fun and fair game. With no member fees, Pure Padel enables players to play as much or as little as they choose without the constraints of the traditional sports club model.

Highly experienced and qualified LTA coaches will be available for coaching to all levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced players, ensuring a holistic padel experience for the Nottingham community.
